STEAMING AROUND ECHUCA I had heard so much about the various steam activities in Echuca on the Murray River -an important waterway and port in colonial times. Now, very much conscious of its history, Echuca is a pleasant place to spend some time and soak up the history. There are a lot of paddlesteamers on the river, old, new steam and diesel. We chose to go on the Emmylou and here is a picture of her engineroom. Star attraction is a Marshall portable engine of 10hp providing the urge.
